It was a usual day, with the usual trip, the usual children, the usual bus, the usual route for Lisa Dillard bus driver for Meigs County School in Decatur, Tennessee, until it wasn’t usual. On the other side of the road, a utility truck accidently went off the side of the road and overcorrected causing the driver to lose control of his vehicle putting him in oncoming traffic with the school bus. It was too late for Lisa and one other student on her bus. Lisa will be remembered as “a friend to our schools and children.”
