Kimberleigh Welch, 32 was loved by the kids and staff of her school. In one word, she was “beloved.” Kimberleigh had been a bus driver for the Mobile County Public Schools since February 2018 and this day was like no other. She had dropped off all of the students at her stops and was heading back to the bus barn when a motorist cut her off near an offramp. The vehicles collided causing the bus to overturn. Because of a defect in the bus, Kimberleigh was suffocated by her bus and succumbed to her injuries.
