Family of Students – Glenda Ann Perkins

Glenda Ann Perkins graduated from Ball High School, Galveston, Texas, and attended the University of Houston. Ann married Stephen Douglas “Steve” Perkins of San Antonio, Texas, on September 30, 1989, in Galveston, Texas, and she and Steve made their home in nearby Santa Fe, Texas.

Ann was a permanent substitute teacher at Santa Fe High School. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal Church both located in Galveston, Texas. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society, Tutu Live Krewe-Mardi Gras and very involved with the Santa Fe School District.

Ann enjoyed painting, shopping, traveling and especially visiting with family and friends over good food paired with a great glass of wine. She loved her home town of Galveston and cherished time spent with family sailing around the Caribbean and any time spent on a beach. She also truly loved her “family” of students, faculty, and friends, who mourn her loss during the recent school shooting at Santa Fe High School
