He is survived by his dogs – Daniel Buesgens

 – A Chaska, Minnesota school district is mourning after one of their employees died while working at Chaska Middle School East Monday morning.

Buildings and grounds employee Daniel Buesgens fell off a ladder while working in the maintenance room of the Athletic Center, Principal Beth Holm said in a letter.

“This is a very sad and tragic matter for our school district. People in our building saw and heard emergency vehicles as they arrived at the scene of the accident,” Holm wrote.

Danny put his family first at all times, taking care of his mother with whatever she needed to have done. He was a wonderful godfather to his niece Alyssa, always willing to do anything for her. Danny had a special place in his heart for all of the kids that came into his life. He loved to go hunting, fishing and motorcycling whenever he had the opportunity. Danny really liked his present job with the Chaska School System.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Buesgens; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Danny is survived by his loving family, mother, Frances Buesgens of St. Bonifacius; sister, Maria (Danny) Swanson of Hamburg; niece and goddaughter, Alyssa Swanson and special friend Blake Nelson of Roseville; significant other, Windy Sky Schutrop; aunts, Janet Buesgens of Cologne; Grace Buesgens of Belle Plaine; godparents, Danny Dressen and Sharon McKnight; family friend, Monica Dressen of St. Bonifacius; other relatives and friends; his dogs, Darby and Joey.
